In Full Bloom
Spring is finally in the air but it came a little earlier at the National Home Show and Canada Blooms Garden show! I got to go to the exhibition with my mom to see some new reno and gardening ideas (which we will never probably get around to actually doing but hey, you can dream!). This seems to be an annual show so if you missed it this time, you have a chance next year!
The event was held at the Direct Energy Centre (right at the Exhibition Place) and one general admission ticket got you into both exhibitions. To be honest, there wasn’t much to see in the National Home Show side where it was mostly samples of doors or kitchens. What was cool about it was that they built a model home that you can tour and drool over the interior. The Garden Show had more things to look at, with even a tree house for young kids to play in. The beautiful displays were made by very talented gardeners and landscapers and made you wish you had an awesome garden in your own backyard. Maybe one day in my dream home!
Both shows had many trendy items for you to pick up. I was very tempted to pick up a plant so my cactus can have a friend but changed my mind last minute. Air plants seemed to be trending: they don’t need soil or water since they gather nutrients from the air, making them super easy to take care of! I’m one of those people that think plants are a great companion to have around the house.
