La Bamboche!
Any day is a good day to have a quiet moment at a café! Starbucks and Timmies are my usual go-to places but we decided to mix things up and go to La Bamboche. This French and Japanese inspired patisserie/café is located near Eglinton and Avenue Road.
We went on a Sunday afternoon (maybe around 2pm) and to be honest, we were slightly disappointed. The layout was very nice, having many open seats and nice open space with Japanese-style artwork on the walls. However when we went to the pastry display there was hardly anything left to order. From what we were able to choose from, we got a blackcurrent mousse, matcha pastry, and a lemon tart along with some cappuccinos. Everything tasted great but nothing extraordinary. I did like the fact that you can spend quality time in a nice space while having a hot beverage.

All in all, for a place that is open until 6pm, I think they should have a better assortment of pastries for customers who don’t want to visit during the morning rush. By the looks of it, everything seems to be sold out in the mornings and that we are not the only ones to experience a similar situation. It is a great space to get work done though (which is what we wanted)! Maybe you’ll have a better experience!
